Today I started the Summer Learning Journey SLJ for short. For the first activity I had to do a poetry slam. I had to think about some of the things I like about summer. I also had to prepare for the next poetry activity by learning what synonyms, verbs and adverbs are and that was a tough run.

It is awesome to see some of your favourite things about summer, I also love watermelon and swimming but I think I like the beach more than pools. Do your prefer pools or the beach?
I think you broke down the important components of slam poetry well and you explained what made each performance good in your opinion. Have you ever done any slam poetry before?

Hi Zana I prefer pools over beaches because most pools are inside and I can't get sunburned. I have never done a poetry slam before. How would you prefer the videos. -Cayden
