Today my class played a game. We played Cats vs Mice on the back field. We played to learn teamwork and strategy.
First we sat on the mat so Mrs Adina could tell us the rules. The rules were that there were 3 or more mice and there were 3 or more cats, then the rest of the people hold hands and form a circle, the circle is like a dog shelter because the cats aren't allowed to enter circle but the mice are allowed to go inside the circle and outside the circle. So if the mice get tagged they are out! I asked mrs adina “were are we going to play? She said we were going to play on the back field.
Then Mrs Adina chose the cats and mice. She said "put your hand up if you want to be a cat.” Then she said “if you want to be a mice.” So then I put my hand up but Mrs Adina picked other kids two of my friends Samson and Benji were mice but I forgot who else. I forgot who all the cats were though.
After that we lined up at the door the front leader was John and the back leader was Nunu. We lined up in between them so I asked Benji yo come to me Then we walked to the back field.
Then we got into our positions. The people that were the circle made a circle around the mice and the cats were next to Mrs Adina. Then we waited for Mrs Adina to say go! When Mrs Adina said, “go!” the mice went all over the place. This game went on for under a minute! I wondered why the mice went out of the circle and I wanted to ask Benji why he wasn’t just running inside the circle but unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to talk to him. The first round was more fun than the second game.
